A message regarding our Sales and Service Departments from Keeler Motor Car Company

As you most likely have heard, Governor Cuomo has ordered all workers in non-essential businesses to stay home in an effort to combat the coronavirus outbreak. As automotive repair is an essential service, Keeler Motor Car Company's Service operations remain open. Please note that our Service Departments now close at 6:00pm Monday through Friday.

However, we are temporarily closing our showrooms today with the long-term safety of our community, associates and beloved customers in mind. We opened our first showroom over 50 years ago and we look forward to resuming this history in the near future.

We look forward to happier times when we will again be together in person. Until then, we hope you'll visit our online Express Store to shop for a much needed escape. We ask that you use the chat functionality on our site if you have questions regarding our inventory or for any of your automotive service needs.

A message to our valued clients from Keeler Motor Car Company

To our valued clients:

As we continue to work through this unprecedented situation we would like to update you on Keeler Motor Car Company's response to the coronavirus outbreak. New information regarding COVID-19 is emerging constantly and new directives are regularly being announced by federal, state, and local officials. Ensuring the safety of our employees and our community is our first priority. It is important that we make decisions that are in the best interest of our families and our community while continuing to serve the needs of our customers.

We would like to share some important points with you as we weigh our decisions regarding our daily operations:

  • The New York State Automobile Dealers Association has advised that auto dealerships are exempt from the businesses ordered to close by New York State as automotive repair is considered an essential service. Pending additional guidance, our aim is to remain open to service the needs of our customers and our community.
  • Beginning March 16th, our operating hours have been reduced. All departments are now closing at 6pm, Monday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday hours currently unaffected. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we thank you for your understanding.
  • We are allowing any Keeler staff members that are uncomfortable coming to work to stay home if they choose to do so. Additionally, employees whose jobs are capable of being performed remotely are being allowed to telework whenever feasible.
  • As previously communicated via email, here on keeler.com, and through our social media channels, we have enhanced our cleaning procedures and are cleaning all high traffic surfaces with hospital-grade cleaning products and have enhanced our cleaning of customer and loaner vehicles.
  • We are continuing to offer vehicle pick-up and drop-off for Service customers who are unable to visit the dealership. We ask that those of you looking to utilize this service be certain to call and make appointments in advance as availability may be limited depending on demand.
  • Our Keeler Marketplace Express Store is also available at express.keeler.com/inventory for anyone who wishes to shop for a vehicle without visiting the dealership, and vehicles purchased via the Express Store can be delivered directly to your home.
  • Finally, we would like to thank our staff for their commitment during these difficult times. Their dedication has allowed us to continue serving our clients during a period of great difficulty. Thank you to each and every member of the Keeler Motor Car Company family.

In light of the rapidly-shifting nature of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, we want to update you regarding our efforts to protect the well-being of our staff and our customers.

UPDATED CLEANING PROCEDURES
We have implemented more rigorous cleaning procedures within each of our dealership locations. Our staff will be proactively sanitizing their work areas throughout each day and our cleaning company has been instructed to conduct nightly deep cleaning after hours, using products that have been approved as effective disinfectants against the virus. Additionally, we will be disinfecting our vehicles following each test drive, as well as disinfecting our shuttles and loaner vehicles before and after each use.

SOCIAL DISTANCING
Despite our efforts to disinfect our buildings and vehicles, we understand that some customers may still be hesitant to visit our showrooms in order to limit their potential exposure to the virus. In support of these social distancing efforts, we recommend utilizing the Keeler Marketplace Express Store. Through our Express Store, customers are able to shop for their next vehicle and complete their entire purchase process online without ever having to visit the dealership. We will even deliver your purchased vehicle to your doorstep with all of your paperwork ready to sign. If a test drive is requested, we will also bring vehicles to your location.

SERVICE PICK-UP & DROP-OFF
Finally, we are offering vehicle pick-up and drop-off for service customers who prefer to stay home rather than bring their vehicles to the dealership. As demand increases, we expect this service to be limited; if you wish to take advantage of this option we ask that you call our service department and schedule an appointment well in advance. Please be sure to specifically request this option when calling.

FUTURE UPDATES
As this unprecedented situation continues to evolve, we will be keeping a close eye on local developments. At this time, we are open for business as usual and committed to providing the same exceptional service you have come to expect from Keeler for the past 53 years. However, in the event that circumstances require our hours of operation to change, we will post updates on this website as well as on our social media channels.
